First day of shooting completed
It was a tense day. We had to pull together everything we needed for tonight's shoot throughout the day, and often at the last moment. We had to jury rig the stand for camera two, and saved a wad of cash by using a piece of scrap wood and some screws instead of buying a new part. We kept on forgetting minor things... Nonetheless, we were ready to go at approximately 9pm... the time that we had wanted to start.
We shot the sequence where Ming and Earl come to Fiona's house to ask about Le Strat. We completed the scene over the course of several hours, as we spent time breaking in the equipment and people had to get used to their roles. When we took the shooting outside, the neighbor complained, as is his appointed role in life. Of course, we will be making appropriate plans to try to get around his whininess, and I think that the point about being quiet was nailed home for us.

What on earth were you trying to record?
In what sense do you mean? Scene number? It was the scene wherein Earl and Ming come to get Le Strat and Jimmy for the music-off with Populor. What I was trying to record with the pictures were... well... memories of the time that we worked on the movie, and to give others proof that they're actually working on a movie!
No, I meant in that particular picture, where there is a microphone in her crotch.
It looks like someone needs to use her depth perception... her name is "Srah!" :)
